Library Work Focus

As the Collections Management Librarian, I am responsible for selecting and maintaining physical and electronic books in the university library collection. I work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure our collection reflects the research and interests of the university community.

Part of my work in making resources more accessible is advocating for more adoption of Open Education Resources (OER) on campus. Open Education Resources are free and can replace or enhance textbooks, ancillaries, and media.

Library Liaison

A library liaison is a library faculty member who is officially designated as the key point of contact between the library and a specific academic unit, which could be a school, department, or center. The liaison also serves as an “ambassador” for the Library to the unit, promoting the Library’s resources, services, and events, and advocating for support of the Library’s needs.

I am the liaison for:

  • CETL
  • Political Science
  • Paralegal Studies
  • American Library Association
  • Open Education Global
  • Texas Library Association
